Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Scoped (“the Service”), operated by Scoped (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

We've written these Terms in plain language on purpose. If something is unclear, email us at hello@getscoped.app and we'll explain it.

1. What Scoped Is

Scoped is a creative brief generation tool for motion designers and studios. It allows you to send clients a structured intake form, generate an AI-written creative brief, and collect client approval and e-signatures.

2. Your Account

2.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding agreement to use Scoped.

2.2 Account Accuracy

You are responsible for providing accurate information when creating your account and keeping it up to date.

2.3 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials. You must notify us immediately at hello@getscoped.app if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

2.4 One Account Per Studio

Each studio should have one Scoped account. You may invite team members within your plan's seat limits.

3. Subscription Plans and Billing

3.1 Plans

Scoped offers four plans:

  • Starter: Free, 3 briefs/month, watermarked PDF, 1 user
  • Personal: $9/month, 10 briefs/month, 1 user, custom branding
  • Team: $19/month, 25 briefs/month, 3 seats
  • Studio: $49/month, 50 briefs/month, 5 seats, custom subdomain

Features included in each plan are described at getscoped.app/pricing. We reserve the right to update plan features and pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.

3.2 Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. All prices are in USD. Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details — Stripe handles all payment data.

3.3 Upgrades and Downgrades

You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from the billing page. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.

3.4 Cancellations

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the billing page. You will retain access to your paid plan until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account moves to the Starter plan and your data is retained.

3.5 Refunds

We do not offer refunds for partial months. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at hello@getscoped.app within 14 days and we will review it.

3.6 Failed Payments

If a payment fails, we will notify you by email and attempt to retry the charge. If payment is not resolved within 7 days, your account will be moved to the Starter plan.

4. What You Can Do with Scoped

4.1 License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Scoped for your own studio's work within the scope of your plan.

4.2 Fair Use

You agree not to:

  • Use Scoped to generate briefs on behalf of other studios as a reseller without our written permission
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or replicate the Service
  • Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the Service
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

4.3 Brief Limits

Brief limits reset on the first day of each calendar month. Unused briefs do not carry over to the next month.

5. Your Content

5.1 Ownership

You own all content you create using Scoped — including your studio branding, form questions, brief data, and generated PDFs.

5.2 Our License to Your Content

By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of your content.

5.3 AI-Generated Content

Briefs generated by Scoped use the Anthropic Claude API. You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before sharing it with clients. We do not guarantee that AI-generated content is accurate, complete, or appropriate for your specific project.

5.4 Client Data

When your clients fill in intake forms, their data is processed by Scoped on your behalf. You are responsible for having the legal right to collect and process your clients' information. You are the data controller for your clients' data; Scoped is the data processor.

6. What We Do Not Do

To be transparent:

  • We do not sell your data or your clients' data to third parties
  • We do not use your brief content to train AI models
  • We do not share your studio data with other Scoped users
  • We do not send marketing emails to your clients
  • We do not use your clients' contact information for any purpose other than delivering the brief and approval flow you initiated

7. Availability and Changes

7.1 Uptime

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible.

7.2 Changes to the Service

We may add, change, or remove features at any time. For significant changes that affect paid plans, we will provide 30 days notice.

7.3 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

8. Termination

8.1 By You

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page under Danger Zone. This permanently deletes your studio, briefs, and all associated data. This action cannot be undone.

8.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if required by law. We will notify you by email unless legally prohibited from doing so.

8.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your license to use the Service ends. Data deletion timelines are described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of Liability

Scoped is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service
  • Our total liability to you for any claim does not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim
  • We are not responsible for the accuracy of AI-generated brief content or for client decisions made based on that content

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law in your jurisdiction, including consumer protection rights in Brazil under the Código de Defesa do Consumidor.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of São Paulo, Brazil, unless otherwise required by applicable law in your jurisdiction.
